COMET LOVAS (1977c)
The following positions have been reported:

     1977 UT R. A. (1950) Decl. m1 m2 Observer
     Feb. 17.94010 10 36 29.70 +35 13 54.2 15 Lovas
          23.91093 10 31 11.13 +34 58 40.9 15 "
     Mar. 16.92569 10 13.7 +33 15 15 "
          20.10223 10 11.3 +33 16 17-18 McCrosky

M. Lovas (Konkoly Observatory). Comet diffuse with condensation,
   tail < 1o.
R. E. McCrosky (Harvard Observatory). Diffuse, possible tail.

Computations by the undersigned suggest that Decl. on Mar. 16
requires correction by -20' and that the comet has a large perihelion
distance. The following ephemeris is supplied:

     1977 ET R. A. (1950) Decl. Delta r m2
     Feb. 26 10 29.34 +34 52.1 4.844 5.751 17.5
