J. Bortle, Editor of the AAVSO Circulars, points out that the
current outburst (cf. IAUC 3101) began with a surge from mv 7.7 to
7.0 during April and that mv averaged a peak value of 6.8 in June.
AAVSO observations also show that mv averaged 6.8 in Oct. 1972.
