COMET HANEDA-CAMPOS (1978j)
On IAUC 3259 we neglected to remark that observers Haneda,
Campos, McCrosky and also Bennett (who confirmed the discovery) all
described the comet as diffuse, with condensation, without tail.
Further precise positions have been reported as follows:

     1978 UT R. A. (1950) Decl. m1 Observer
     Sept. 2.16782 20 51 53.58 -29 46 49.8 Schwartz

G. Schwartz (Harvard College Observatory, Agassiz Station). 155-cm
reflector and 41-cm astrograph. Measurers: R. E. McCrosky and
C.-Y. Shao. The positions given on IAUC 3259 have been slightly
   revised.
M. P. Candy and J. Johnson (Perth Observatory, Bickley). Object
diffuse with condensation, tail < 1o. 33-cm astrograph.

     J. Bortle, Brooks Observatory, provides the following total
visual magnitude estimate (32-cm reflector): Sept. 5.10 UT, 11.2.

The following elliptical elements have been calculated. The
ephemeris is from the second set, which suggest that the comet made
a close approach to Jupiter in 1969.
