COMET HOWELL (1981k)
Ellen Howell, California Institute of Technology, has discovered
a comet on exposures with the 0.46-m Schmidt telescope at
Palomar. The comet has been confirmed by C. Kowal with the 1.2-m
Schmidt. The comet is diffuse and tailless, with some evidence of
condensation on the 1.2-m exposure. Available positions are:

Charles Kowal, California Institute of Technology, reports his
discovery of a fast-moving asteroidal object with the 1.2-m Schmidt
telescope at Palomar. Approximate positions from the ends of 75-min
