Circular No. 3704 Central Bureau for Astronomical Telegrams INTERNATIONAL ASTRONOMICAL UNION Postal Address: Central Bureau for Astronomical Telegrams Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, Cambridge, MA 02138, U.S.A. TWX 710-320-6842 ASTROGRAM CAM Telephone 617-864-5758 RADIO PULSAR IN MSH 15-32 P. M. McCulloch and P. A. Hamilton, University of Tasmania; and J. G. Ables, C.S.I.R.O. Division of Radiophysics, report the detection of radio pulsations from the x-ray pulsar in SNR MSH 15-52 (Seward and Harnden 1982, Ap. J. 256, L2). The pulsar was observed at 680 MHz on 1982 Feb. 4 to have a barycentric period of 0s.150212 +/- 0s.000001, dispersion measure 240 +/- 10 cm**-3 pc, pulse duty cycle 16 percent and mean flux ~ 1 mJy. The above period agrees with the published period and slow-down rate (47 +/- 2 us/yr) of the x-ray pulsar, suggesting that it is not part of a binary system. This pulsar has many features in common with the Crab and Vela pulsars and is therefore a candidate for optical pulsations. PERIODIC COMET NEUJMIN 3 It has been brought to our attention that there is a large discordance between the ephemerides given for this comet in BAA Hbk. for 1982 and on MPC 6534. It appears that the latter, from the elements in Nakano Note No. 397, is correct. The prediction below is from a computation by the undersigned that represents 48 observations at the three observed perihelion passages (1929, 1951, 1972) with a mean residual of 1".8. Perturbations by all nine planets were taken into account, and there is no indication that this comet is influenced by nongravitational forces.
