TWX 710-320-6842 ASTROGRAM CAM Telephone 617-864-5758 omega ORIONIS R. A. Donahue, E. F. Guinan and G. P. McCook, Astronomy Department, Villanova University, report: "Photoelectric photometry of the bright Be star omega Ori obtained on Feb. 20 shows an increase in brightness at 658.5 nm by 0.2 mag and also a substantial reddening of its color index when compared to data from January. These photometric changes, and the changes in polarization reported by Hayes (IAUC 3777), herald a new shell episode for the star." PERIODIC COMET KOPFF (1982k) The following ephemeris is from MPC 7032 (elements on MPC 7022), except that the magnitude has been converted to m1. 1983 ET R.A.
