PERIODIC COMET KOWAL-VAVROVA (1983t)
A. Mrkos, Klet Observatory, writes that the May 14 images of
this object (cf. IAUC 3871) are round, diffuse, and larger than
those of minor planets, but that there was no condensation or
tail. He has also identified the comet on a plate obtained at
Klet on May 31, when the appearance was similar:

31.89039 15 22 53.30 -14 18 44.3
These new observations confirm that the comet is a short-
period one. Further observations are urgently desired.
