PERIODIC COMET TAYLOR (1983u)
     E. Everhart reports his recovery of this comet with the 0.4-m
reflector at the Chamberlin Observatory's field station. The
image of the comet was not obviously condensed on Nov. 3, but some
condensation was probable on Nov. 7. Confirmation of the recovery
was made by J. Gibson, who obtained a rather well exposed, diffuse
and condensed image with the 1.2-m Palomar Schmidt telescope:

   1983 UT R.A. (1950.0) Decl. m1 Observer

   Nov. 3.40347 6 58 20.23 + 7 24 09.0 20 Everhart
         7.42743 7 01 40.72 + 7 36 53.6 19.5 "
        11.53405 7 04 39.68 + 7 53 10.3 19 Gibson

The indicated correction to the prediction by S. Nakano (MPC 7845,
elements MPC 7657) is Delta-T = -0.94 day. A revised ephemeris follows:
