K. S. Russell, U.K. Schmidt Telescope Unit, provides the
following additional positions. The Nov. 3 positions (IAUC 3885)
were from a plate taken by J. Barrow.

The following orbital elements, by the undersigned, from the
observations Nov. 1-11, are uncertain but indicate that the object
is of Apollo type. Further observations are urgently needed.

NEW X-RAY SOURCE
Y. Tanaka and the Tenma Team report that a new x-ray source,
located at R.A. = 3h31m05s +/- 12s, Decl. = +53deg00'6 +/- 3'0 (equinox
1950.0), was discovered from the x-ray satellite Tenma on Nov. 14.
There is no previously catalogued source within the error circle. The
source is peculiar in that its intensity shows erratic short-term
variations, very similar to those of Cyg X-1, on timescales down
to 100 ms. The average source intensity was constant at ~ 50 ufu
during Nov. 14-18. The energy spectrum can be represented by a
power law with a photon index of ~ 0.6 and a cutoff above 20 keV.
The Hakucho satellite was due to take over observations after
Nov. 19. Observers are urged to attempt to locate the source at
optical and radio wavelengths.
