SUPERNOVA 1986A IN NGC 3367
     R. Evans, Maclean, N.S.W., reports his discovery of a supernova
in NGC 3367 (R.A. = 10h44m0, Decl. = +14deg01', equinox 1950.0), with
mv = 14.0 on Feb. 4.6 UT. M. P. Candy, Perth Observatory, reports
photographic confirmation, and notes that the object is 25" east and
3" north of the galaxy's nucleus.

PERIODIC COMET HALLEY (1982i)
     T. le Bertre and N. Epchtein, European Southern Observatory,
report the following infrared magnitudes obtained with the 1-m reflector
at La Silla: Jan. 22.88 UT, J = 5.10, H = 4.84, K = 4.47, L = 1.41,
M = 0.54; Jan. 23.88, J = 5.27, H = 4.92, K = 4.65, L = 1.44, M = 0.0;
Jan. 25.88, M = -0.67, N = -3.85 +/- 0.10, [8.2 microns] = -3.18 +/- 0.10,
[9.8 microns] = -3.86 +/- 0.10, [12.2 microns] = -4.21 +/- 0.15;
all errors are +/- 0.05, except where noted. All observations were
made using a 30" aperture and 30" beamswitching.
