Total visual magnitude estimates: May 13.44 UT, 9.8 (R. Keen,
Mt. Thorodin, CO, 0.30-m reflector); 14.46, 10.2 (G. Rattley,
Magma, AZ, 0.25-m reflector); 15.48, 10.3 (D. E. Machholz, San
Jose, CA, 0.15-m reflector); 16.46, 11.7 (Rattley). The May 13.4
exposures at the Lowell Observatory (IAUC 4217) showed a 3' tail
to the northwest. A near-simultaneous exposure by G. Emerson, Mt.
Thorodin, CO, shows a broad (covering ~ 40 deg of p.a.) tail 4' long
centered in p.a. 312 and an antitail 2' long in p.a. 159.
