COMET WILSON (1986l)
     E. Gerard, D. Bockelee-Morvan, G. Bourgois, P. Colom and J.
Crovisier, Meudon Observatory and Nancay Radio Observatory, report:
"The OH production rate is rapidly increasing. Measurements
with the Nancay radio telescope show that the 1667-MHz point-source
flux density reached 100 mJy on Nov. 12, and the line profile was
blueshifted by 0.8 km/s.  During Oct. 10-18, Nov. 6-8 and Nov. 11-
12 the OH production rate was 1.7, 7.3 and 12 x 10**28 molecules/s,
respectively (following Despois et al. 1981, A.Ap. 99, 320)."

     Total visual magnitude estimates: Oct. 25.06 UT, 10.5 (Y.
Sheffer, Austin, TX, 0.33-m refl.); 26.77, 10.6 (M. Zanotta,
Milan, Italy, 0.30-m refl.); 27.76, 10.6 (Zanotta, 0.25-m refl.);
29.02, 11.4 (G. R. Chester, Rixeyville, VA, 0.20-m refl.); Nov.
4.11, 11.3 (A. Hale, Las Cruces, NM, 0.20-m refl.).
