POSSIBLE NOVA IN LACERTA
     H. Kosai, Tokyo Astronomical Observatory, reports that Minoru
Honda, Kurashiki, discovered (using a 150-mm camera and Tri-X film)
an object of mv = 8.0 on Nov. 22.43 UT at R.A. = 22h22m.0, Decl. = +48 14'
(equinox 1950.0). The object was fainter than mv = 12 on Nov. 21.

NOVA CENTAURI 1986
     Visual magnitude estimates: Nov. 23.41 UT, 5 (C. Bembrick, N.
Sydney, N.S.W.); 24.1, 5.0 (J. Campos, Durban, R.S.A.); 24.40, 4.6
(R. H. McNaught, Coonabarabran, N.S.W.); 24.74, 5.0 (McNaught).

T PYXIDIS
     A. Cassatella and R. Gilmozzi, ESA IUE Observatory, Madrid;
and P. L. Selvelly, Osservatorio Astronomico, Trieste, telex: "The
next outburst is likely to occur within a year. In view of the
invaluable importance of monitoring the behavior of a recurrent
nova before an outburst, we began observations of T Pyx with IUE
on Sept. 27. The ultraviolet continuum over 120-320 nm is essentially
as in 1980 May, the last time T Pyx was observed with IUE,
while the C IV 155 nm and He II 164 nm emissions appear brighter.
We plan to continue the ultraviolet monitoring soon. An early
start of optical and infrared observations is recommended."

Basingstoke, England, 0.26-m reflector); 12.48, 10.9 (D. Machholz,
San Jose, CA, 0.25-m reflector); 21.47, 10.5 (Kobayashi; tail 3'
in p.a. 180 ); 22.52, 10.4 (Kobayashi; tail 5' in p.a. 175 );
25.13, 9.7 (D. W. E. Green, Cambridge, MA, 0.23-m refractor).

COMET WILSON (1986l)
     Total visual magnitude estimates: Nov. 5.41, 11.5 (Kobayashi);
