1987 KF
     Carolyn S. and Eugene M. Shoemaker report the following
precise positions of a fast-moving asteroidal object discovered by
them on exposures with the 0.46-m Schmidt telescope at Palomar:

     1987 UT              R.A. (1950) Decl.            Mag.
     May  29.24670     14 29 57.69     +16 46 45.7     16.5
          30.34462     14 29 59.10     +15 44 09.5
          31.19462     14 30 03.51     +14 57 40.0
          31.39132     14 30 03.23     +14 47 06.0
     June  1.28247     14 30 09.63     +14 00 30.7

     An orbit computation from these positions shows that the
object is of Apollo type:

          T = 1987 Mar. 10.745 ET
          W =  11.454                    e =   0.65616
          O = 110.613   1950.0           a =   1.70526 AU
          i =  11.080                    n =   0.442606
          q =   0.58634 AU               P =   2.23 years
