SUPERNOVA 1987L IN NGC 2336
     G. Hurst, Basingstoke, England, communicates the following
precise position, obtained by A. Young, Burwash, on Aug. 27.95 UT:
R.A. = 7h18m40s.29, Decl. = +80 15'34".4 (equinox 1950.0; only 3 SAOC
reference stars). He adds that the supernova was accidentally recorded
visually at mag about 14 by S. Lubbock, Bridgend, Wales, while
preparing a chart for the U.K. nova/supernova patrol on Aug 3.99 UT.
     C. Dahn, U.S. Naval Observatory Flagstaff Station, reports
that a CCD observation by C. Luginbuhl with the 1.55-m astrometric
reflector on Aug. 29 gave the offsets of the SN from the galaxy's
center as 59" east, 70" south.
     Visual magnitude estimates: Aug. 23.1 UT, 14.5 (S. Lucas,
Midlothian, IL); 30.12, 14.7 (Lucas); Sept. 2.47, 15.1 (A. Hale,
Las Cruces, NM).
     Corrigendum. On IAUC 4441, line 5, for mv = 14.2 loctated
read  mpg  =  14.2 located

SUPERNOVA 1987A IN THE LARGE MAGELLANIC CLOUD

Adelaide, South Australia); 20.53, 5.0 (Beresford); 21.50,
5.0 (D. A. J. Seargent, The Entrance, N.S.W.); 22.74, 5.0 (R. H.
McNaught, Coonabarabran, N.S.W.); 23.68, 5.0 (McNaught); 24.66,
5.2 (G. Garradd, Tamworth, N.S.W.); 25.38, 4.9 (Beresford); 26.58,
4.8 (Beresford); 27.47, 4.8 (Beresford); 29.53, 4.9 (Beresford);
31.57, 5.3 (Seargent); Sept. 1.59, 4.9 (Beresford).

V394 CORONAE AUSTRINAE
     With reference to the positions on IAUC 4428 and 4429, D.
Herald, Canberra, notes that his position was derived using
reference-star positions from the Yale zone catalogues; an SAOC
reduction gives a difference in R.A. = -0s.08, in Decl. = -1".1.
     Further visual magnitude estimates by R. H. McNaught,
Coonabarabran, N.S.W.): Aug. 7.44 UT, 11.6; 8.4, 11.9; 9.57, 12.5.

COMET WILSON (1986l)
     Visual magnitude estimates by G. W. Wolf, Wellington, N.Z.:
Aug 3.33 UT, 9.5 (0.06-m refr.); 29.33, 10.3 (0.21-m refl.).
