     C. and E. Shoemaker report their discovery of a fast-moving
asteriodal object on films taken with the Palomar 0.46-m Schmidt
telescope.  The Oct. exposures were taken by E. Shoemaker and H.
Holt at Palomar.  The following measurements are by C. Shoemaker:
