COMET SHOEMAKER (1987g1)
     Another comet has been discovered by Carolyn and Eugene Shoemaker
with the 0.46-m Schmidt telescope at Palomar.  It is diffuse
and uncondensed, and there is a faint tail to the northwest.

     Total visual magnitude estimate by J. Kobayashi, Kumamoto,
Japan (0.31-m reflector): Aug. 17.46 UT, 8.8.


PERIODIC COMET KOHOUTEK (1986k)
     Total visual magnitudes: Nov. 20.47 UT, 13.7 (A. Hale, Las
Cruces, NM, 0.41-m reflector); 27.50, 13.4 (C. S. Morris, near
Mount Wilson, CA, 0.26-m reflector).


COMET WILSON (1986l)
     Total visual magnitude estimates: Nov. 22.46 UT, 10.8 (R.
Keen, Mt. Thorodin, CO, 0.32-m reflector); 25.44, 11.3 (A. Hale,
Las Cruces, NM, 0.41-m reflector); 27.23, 10.4 (J. D. Shanklin,
