NOVA IN THE LARGE MAGELLANIC CLOUD
     R. H. McNaught, Siding Spring Observatory, provides the following
precise position of the nova in the LMC (cf. IAUC 4568) from
an exposure with the Uppsala Southern Schmidt telescope (rms 0".7):
R.A. = 5h36m01.92, Decl. = -70 23'15.2 (equinox 1950.0).  The nova lies
0'.8 east and 2'.2 south of HV 12328, and 5'.0 west and 0'.4 north of
HV 12330. Visual magnitude estimates: Mar. 22.79 UT, 11.9:
(McNaught); 23.43, 11.2 (B. Tregaskis, Mt. Eliza, Victoria; not
Elisa, as given on IAUC 4568).
