The following improved orbital elements, from 30 observations (some
of the earlier ones having been corrected) Sept. 15-30, confirm that
the comet is a short-period one. Comet 1987 XXXI = 1987a1 receives the
name P/Mueller 1 and comet 1990l the name P/Mueller 3.
