NOVA SAGITTARII 1994
     S. S. Hayashi, National Astronomical Observatory, Tokyo, reports
the discovery by Minoru Yamamoto (Okazaki, Aichi) of a probable nova
at R.A. = 18h47m40s, Decl. = -21d28' (equinox 1950.0).  The object
was confirmed by K. Hirosawa (Aichi), who gave the position as
R.A. = 18h47m30s, Decl. = -21d21'.0 (equinox 1950.0).  Magnitude estimates:
Feb. 24.85 UT, 8.9 (Yamamoto, P-MAX 400 film); 25.84, 8.5 (Yamamoto);
25.85, 8.4 (Hirosawa, visual).
