COMET C/1995 Y1 (HYAKUTAKE)
     Additional positions, from G. Garradd (Loomberah, N.S.W.;
0.25-m f/4.1 reflector + CCD):

     1995 UT             R.A. (2000) Decl.
     Dec. 28.66561   14 28 10.94   -24 22 57.6
          28.68005   14 28 14.22   -24 22 49.3
          28.68786   14 28 16.06   -24 22 43.9
          28.70090   14 28 18.96   -24 22 35.4
          28.70584   14 28 20.03   -24 22 32.0

Garradd adds that a 300-s exposure showed a coma diameter of 2'.5
with a broad, 2'.5-long extension in p.a. 250 deg. The coma lacked
a distinct central condensation in 5- and 10-s images; rather there
was a region of diameter about 10" of relatively uniform brightness.
     The following preliminary parabolic orbital elements, by the
undersigned, are from 18 observations, Dec. 26-28:

     T = 1996 Feb. 23.938 TT          Peri. =  45.516
                                      Node  = 195.863   2000.0
     q = 1.06376 AU                   Incl. =  54.220
