Gianluca Masi reports the discovery of this possible nova, visible on several unfiltered images, remotely collected with the 250mm-f/4.5 robotic unit installed at the Virtual Telescope Project’s facility, in Manciano, Italy. The new source is not visible on Panstarrs DR1 and not visible of SDSS9, as available via Aladin. This new source is not visible on images taken on 24 Sept. with the same setup.

New unfiltered images taken by G. Masi using the same setup of the discovery confirms the presence of this transient, basically at the same brightness (R=17.8). A slightly fainter star is about 3” SW from the transient (and such a fainter star is present on both Panstarss DR1 and SDSS9).

New unfiltered images taken by G. Masi using the same setup of the discovery show this possible nova brighter, at R=17.5.
