Yuqing Ren and Jingyuan Zhao, report discovery of a possible nova. Image obtained by 0.61-m f/6.5 corrected Dall-Kirkham robotic telescope (Lane, 2018, RTSRE, 1, 119) of Burke-Gaffney Observatory (BGO) in Saint Mary's University (Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada), exposure 360s with Astrodon Luminance filter.




2023 09 29.70531

Wenjie Zhou, Mi Zhang, Jingyuan Zhao and Weihao Wang report following-up photometry and outburst upper limit for AT 2023ttu=PNV J00423617+4117178. The nova is visible on V-filter image, exposured 600-s, obtained by 0.5-m f/6.8 Lulin-ASIAA Telescope for Transients and Education (LATTE) at Lulin Observatory (D35) around 2023 Sept. 29.70531 UT, mag=16.4 V. The nova is also visible on another R-filter image taken by the same instrument (2023 Sept. 29.71266, mag = 16.1 R), but nothing is visible at this position on archival images taken on 2023 Sept. 28.69936 UT (limiting mag 20.5 V) and 2023 Sept. 28.70671 UT (limiting mag 20.5 R).
