This object was observed by Federica Luppi with a 0.38-m f/6.8 reflector + CCD from Schiaparelli Observatory, Varese, Italy. In a stack of images totalling 5 minutes of unfiltered exposure time, the object has position end figures 42s.04, 50".6 and magnitude 16.6 (CMC-14 catalogue). Nothing is visible in DSS images. This possible supernova in PGC 3218 (UGC 549) was seen with 3 x 300 sec images using a clear filter. Astrometry: RA 00 54 42.02 Dec 36 45 51.0 Photometry: Mag 16.2 +/- 0.2 C These data were collected by Joseph Brimacombe, Cairns, Australia.
