This possible supernova in NGC 459 was seen with 10 x 600 sec images using a clear filter. This object was observed by Federica Luppi and Luca Buzzi with a 0.38-m f/6.8 reflector + CCD from Schiaparelli Observatory, Varese, Italy. In a stack of images totalling 14 minutes of unfiltered exposure time, the object has position end figures 07s.82, 29".4 and magnitude 18.1 (CMC-14 catalogue). Nothing is visible in DSS images.
