Discovered by H. Sato, Tokyo, Japan, on six 60-s frames using 0.51-m f/6.8 astrograph with f/4.5 focal reducer and KAF-09000 CCD (2x2 binned), who writes nothing is visible at this location on POSS1, POSS2 and GSC2.

This PSN was clearly seen on 4 x 180 sec images taken with 0.51-m astrograph + FLI PL9000 CCD camera at Siding Spring Observatory site of iTelescope.NET, Australia, remotely. This possible supernova in UGC 2367 was detected with 6 x 10 min images using a luminance filter Photometry: Mag 19.47 +/- 0.11 L (V for ref; USNOA2) Astrometry: RA 02 53 40.75 Dec +06 15 39.0 These data were collected remotely by Joseph Brimacombe, Coral Towers Observatory, Cairns, Australia.
