We discovered this object on Jan.21.70 2013 UT in the Tsinghua University-NAOC Transient Survey (TNTS),and the magnitude of the object on unfiltered CCD was about 18.3 mag. The spectrum taken on Jan.22.88 2013 UT indicates it is a type Ia supernova a few days before the maximum light.

This possible supernova in USNOA2 1425-07233409 was detected with 4 x 15 min images using a luminance filter Astrometry: RA 08 52 06.01 Dec +52 36 05.0 Photometry: 17.18 +/- 0.48 L (V for ref) These data were collected remotely by Joseph Brimacombe, Cairns, Australia.
