2015 01 09.636

Discovered by K. Itagaki, Yamagata, Japan, on an unfiltered CCD frame taken on 2015 January 9.636 UT using 0.50-m f/6.8 reflector remotely at Takanezawa station, Tochigi-ken under the limiting magnitude= 18.5, which was confirmed on the followed-up frames taken after the discovery. Nothing is visible at this location on the past frames including the most recent frame taken on 2015 Jan. 2.580 ( limiting mag.= 18.0) and verifying was done on a frame (limiting mag. = 19.5) taken on 2006 Oct. 27.807 UT using 0.60-m f/5.7 reflector at Yamagata. Mag.= 16.4, position end figures 15s.52, 17".8 observed by T. Noguchi, Chiba-ken, Japan, using 0.23-m f/6.3 Schmidt Cassegrain + unfiltered CCD. An image at http://park8.wakwak.com/~ngc/images/PSNinNGC2955.jpg.

Photometry Results were V=15.95, Rc=15.67, Ic=15.45. 25cm schmidt cassegrain telescope + Apogee F47 CCD camera. Seiichiro Kiyota (Kamagaya, Chiba, Japan)

2015 01 11.818

This transient was observed on 2015 01 11.81809 by G. Masi and P. Catalano, remotely using the 17"-f/6.8 robotic unit part of the Virtual Telescope Project facility, at Bellatrix Astronomical Observatory in Ceccano, Italy. 120-seconds exposures, unfiltered, show the source at mag. 15.9 (R mags for the reference stars from UCAC-4). We also performed astrometry, getting the following end figures: 15.53; 17.4 (J2000.0, mean residuals of 0.2" on both axes).
