This possible supernova in PGC 28823 was seen with 4 x 600 sec images using a clear filter. This object was observed by Federica Luppi with a 0.36-m f/7.9 reflector + CCD + Bessell R filter from Schiaparelli Observatory, Varese, Italy. In a stack of images totalling 11 minutes of exposure time, the object has position end figures 48s.34, 03".5 and magnitude 16.0 (CMC-14 catalogue). Nothing is visible in DSS images.
