2014 05 29.8473

This transient was observed on 2014 05 29.8473 by Gianluca Masi, remotely using the 17"-f/6.8 corrected Dall-Kirkham robotic unit part of the Virtual Telescope Project facility, at Bellatrix Astronomical Observatory in Ceccano, Italy. 180-seconds exposures, unfiltered, show the source at mag. 19.8 (R mags for the reference stars from UCAC-4). We also performed astrometry, getting the following end figures: 59.45; 26.5 (J2000.0, mean residuals of 0.2" on both axes).

2014 09 05.090

SNhunt248. This supernova imposter (arXiv:1407.4681) in NGC 5806 has been undergoing a general rebrightening trend since bottoming out at magnitude 18.25 +/- 0.14 clear with V as reference on 2014 07 29.383 with T17 in Siding Spring, Australia. On 2014 09 05.090 the object measured 17.41 +/- 0.09 unfiltered with V as reference. Instrument was 0.28m SCT at f/5 plus Orion StarShoot Deep Space Monochrome Imager III. Exposure was 32 x 20 seconds. Image: https://www.flickr.com/photos/watchingthesky/15120876096. Light curve: https://www.flickr.com/photos/watchingthesky/14686779032/ S. Howerton.
