Markku Nissinen (Kuvansi, Finland) report: suspected SN position: RA 16 16 24.23 DEC +51 53 05.5. suspected SN magnitude: 16.0 CR. No object in DSS POSSII F (optical R) at that position. iTelescope T18 (Planewave CDK 12.5 + KAF 6303E CCD, Nerpio, Spain).

This transient was observed by Gianluca Masi (Virtual Telescope Project) and Massimo della Valle (Osservatorio Astronomico di Capodimonte), remotely using the 17" robotic unit part of the Virtual Telescope Project facility in Ceccano, Italy, during a public lecture about supernovae at the Planetarium of Rome. Unfiltered images show the source at mag. 16.7 (R mags for the reference stars from UCAC-4). We also performed astrometry, getting the following end figures: 24.24s; 05.4" (J2000.0, mean residuals of 0.2" on both axes)
