Discovered by H. Nishimura, Shizuoka-ken, Japan using 200-mm f/3.2 lens + a Canon digital camera EOS 5D, who writes nothing is visible at this location on his recent frames taken on 2016 May 14.712, May 18.602 and June 5.532 (Limiting mag = about 13.0) UT using same patrol camera.

2016 06 09.596

Mag.= 11.8, pre-discovery image found by T. Kojima, Gunma-ken, Japan, on three frames using 135-mm lens + Canon EOS 6D digital camera, who also writes nothing is visible at this location on two patrol frames (Limiting mag.= 13) taken on 2016 June 5.582 UT.

2016 06 11.506

Mag.= 10.4, position end figures 19s.22, 07".8 observed by K. Itagaki, Yamagata, Japan using 0.50-m f/7.7 reflector at Tochigi station.

2016 06 11.513

Mag.= 11.3, position end figures 19s.27, 09".1 observed by T. Noguchi, Chiba-ken, Japan, using 0.23-m f/6.3 Schmidt Cassegrain + unfiltered CCD, who put an image at http://park8.wakwak.com/~ngc/images/PNVinSco_20160611.jpg.

Phptpmetry results were V=12.36, Rc=11.30, Ic=9.74 with 0.50-m f/4.5 CDK astrograph + FLI-PL11002M at Mayhill, NM, USA, remotely. My image is available at http://meineko.sakura.ne.jp/ccd/PNV_J17381927-3725077.jpg. Seiichiro Kiyota (Kamagaya, Japan)

F. Watanabe and H. Naito, Nayoro Observatory, detected this transient as a source at the magnitude of R=10.95 (reference stars from UCAC-4) on an image taken on Jun. 14.688 UT with the 0.4-m Meili telescope (+ CCD) at Nayoro Observatory.

2016 06 11.612

(Sorry for our mistake on the observation time in our previous report. It should be corrected as below.) F. Watanabe and H. Naito, Nayoro Observatory, detected this transient as a source at the magnitude of R=10.95 (reference stars from UCAC-4) on an image taken on Jun. 11.612 UT with the 0.4-m Meili telescope (+ CCD) at Nayoro Observatory.

2016 06 11.65

K. Ayani, Bisei Astronomical Observatory (BAO) obtained a low-dispersion spectrogram (resolution 0.5 nm, range 400-800 nm) of this PNV with the BAO 1.01-m telescope. It has a prominent and broad H-alpha emission line (FWHM about 1800 km/s, equivalent width about 23 nm) and a broad H-beta emission line, which shows that the PNV is a nova in early phase.

2016 06 11.65

The spectrum of this PNV obtained by K. Ayani, which has already been reported above, is posted at http://www.bao.city.ibara.okayama.jp/astro/2016/pnv/PNV_J17381927-3725077_Jun11.png .

My photometry results should be 11.42 and 10.00 in Rc and Ic. Sorry. Seiichiro Kiyota (Kamagaya, Japan)
