We report pre-discovery detection of TCP J17583414-2652300 at the unfiltered magnitude CV= 13.1 +/-0.2 on images obtained with the NMW camera (135mm f/2.0 telephoto lens + SBIG ST-8300M CCD; https://scan.sai.msu.ru/nmw/ ) at 2023-05-15.9205 UTC. We obtained additional imaging of the nova on 2023-05-18.07 using a 80mm refractor with Canon EOS 600D digital camera measuring the nova brightness TG= 14.37 +/-0.01. The images are available at http://scan.sai.msu.ru/~kirx/img/TCPJ17583414-2652300/ ---- Kirill Sokolovsky, Stanislav Korotkiy, Nikolay Potapov, Olga Smolyankina, Anna Prokudina, Sergei Ostapenko
