Discovered by K. Itagaki, Yamagata, Japan, on an unfiltered CCD frame using 0.50-m f/6.8 reflector at the Takanezawa station, Tochigi-ken, under the limiting magnitude= 18.5, which was confirmed on the frames taken during 20 mimutes after discovery. Nothing is visible at this location on his past frames and verifying was done on a frame (limit mag.= 19.0) taken on 2007 August 23.589 UT using 0.60-m f/5.7 reflector + unfiltered CCD at Yamagata, however no recent frame.

I took confirmation images of this PSN with 0.5m Astrograph+FLI ProLine PL11002M CCD camera at Mayhill, USA (T11, iTelescope.NET), remotely . I checked DSS2 image of NGC6667 using Aladine, Simbad. Photometry results were V=16.60 and Ic=16.06 using TYC 4430-18-1 as a comparison. My image avaiable at http://meineko.sakura.ne.jp/ccd/PSN_J18303179+6759297.jpg. Mag.= 17.1, position end figures 31s.82, 29".6 (refer to UCAC4 catalog) observed by T. Noguchi, Chiba-ken, Japan, on eight stacked 30-s frames (limit mag.= 17.5) with 0.23-m f/6.3 Schmidt-Cassegrain + unfiltered CCD , who informs an image posted at http://park8.wakwak.com/~ngc/images/PSNinNGC6667.jpg.

Mag.=16.7U, position end figures 31s.74, 30".1, which is 45" west and 15" north of the center of NGC 6667 (UCAC4 reference stars) on an image composed from 3-frames which were taken by each 120-seconds exposure under the limiting magnitude = 18.5, remotely using a 32-m f/8.0 astrograph + CCD (KAF-6303E) at the iTelescopeNET AstroCamp Observatory. Nerpio, Spain. Observer T. Yusa, Osaki, Japan. Link to image : http://space.geocities.jp/yusastar77/supernova/PSNinN6667_140112.htm
