Ochner P., Andreoli V., and Balcon C. report the spectroscopic classification of TCP J19065629+4019093. A low-resolution spectrum was obtained with the 1.22-m telescope and B&C spectrograph (dispersion 2.25 Å/pixel) located in Asiago (Italy) on 2025-05-1.048 UT. The spectrum shows a blue continuum with Balmer lines: Hα (6562.8 Å) is in emission, filled-up by the accretion disk; Hβ (4860 Å) and Hγ (4340 Å) appear in absorption with weak central emission components, likely also originating from the disk. The other Balmer lines are present in absorption. The spectrum also shows weak helium features: He I 6678 Å in emission and He I 4472 Å in absorption. These characteristics are consistent with a cataclysmic variable (CV). We propose that TCP J19065629+4019093 is a CV.
