Discovered by E. Pimentel, C. Jacques, C. Colesanti, C. Barreto, J. Ribeiro, M. Domingues, J. Amancio, L. Amaral, P. Holvorcem, T. Napoleao on behalf of the Brazilian Transient Search - BraTS - at SONEAR Observatory, Oliveira, Brazil in three frames with 10 seconds exposure using an astrograph 280mm f/2.2 + CCD unfiltered, with magnitude 15.0 under limiting mag = 17.5. Nothing is visible at this location on the previous frames (limiting mag = 17.8) taken on 2022 Jun 06.1940 UT.

The brightening is also evident in ASAS-SN Sky Patrol (Shappee et al. 2014ApJ...788...48S and Kochanek et al. 2017PASP..129j4502K) data: 2022 August 4.282 UT, fainter than gmag. 16.7; 5.169, gmag 16.3; 5.274, 15.81; 6.172, 15.26; no previous brightenings were oberved, complete light curve at https://asas-sn.osu.edu/sky-patrol/coordinate/a7b24cdd-a176-4ee2-8a1d-87380cd0a434 -- Patrick Schmeer (Saarbrücken-Bischmisheim, Germany)
