An optical transient found with the NMW-TexasTech survey (two identical Rokinon f=135mm f/2.2 telephoto lenses + unfiltered QHY600PH-M CMOS cameras): 2026-08-24.1255 >14.0 2026-08-25.1278 9.0 2026-08-25.1292 9.0 2026-08-25.1385 8.9 2026-08-25.1405 8.9 The dates are UTC. The unfiltered magnitude zero-point was calibrated using V magnitudes of Tycho-2 stars in the field. The discovery images and finder charts are available at https://tau.kirx.net/img/PNVJ19450648+1822422/ The transient appears to coincide with a variable star Gaia DR3 1824166210904571136 19:45:06.49 +18:22:42.1 ICRS at Ep=2016.0 (no significant parallax) that varies between 19.34 - 20.79 G https://vsx.aavso.org/index.php?view=detail.top&oid=10762522 The NMW-TexasTech survey operates at TTU Preston Gott Skyview Observatory near Shallowater, Texas. ---- Katie Barnhart, Kirill Sokolovsky, Darien Perla, Pragati Acharya, John Worley, Vallia Antoniou, Elias Aydi (Texas Tech University)

Reguitti.A and Sigismondi.C report the photometric follow-up of PNV J19450648+1822422. CCD differential photometry was obtained on 2026 Aug. 25.8609 UT with a Galileo telescope guiding camera. The photometric calibration was performed using the AAVSO comparison-star chart X42979XV. HD 187321 (comparison star 71 on the AAVSO chart) was adopted as the reference star, with V = 6.95.

I performed follow-up photometry of this object on 2026 Aug. 26.470 UT using a DWARF mini (DWARF LAB). The object was measured at 7.06 +/- 0.09 mag (approximately V), using the green channel extracted from an RGB image and calibrated against UCAC4 and Tycho-2 V magnitudes.
