2011 09 09.466

Discovery observation by Kazuo Sakaniwa (Nagano, Japan) on two images taken around Sept. 9.466 UT using a Olympus digital camera (+ 70-mm f/3.2 camera lens). Position accuracy would be poor, as he reported only 1s, 1' value. Nothing appeared at this position on his survey frames (limiting magnitude unreported) taken on Aug. 4, 24, and Sept. 7.

2011 9 9.603

K. Itagaki (Yamagata, Japan) and H. Kaneda (Hokkaido, Japan) examined their two survey images taken on Sept. 9.603 UT using an unfiltered CCD + f.l. 180-mm camera lens. The limiting magnitudes of these images are 12.5 mag. There is no object brighter than mag 11.5 within 5 arcminutes from the reported position, and neither brighter than mag 11.0 within 1 degree.

2011 09 10.5451

No object visible within 1' of given position in unfiltered, moonlight-affected DSLR image, 4 x 30 sec, down to magnitude 11.3 - Tycho-2 2699-00571-1. (Rob Kaufman, Bright, Vic, Australia)

2011 09 08.487

Also on Sept. 9.481 UT. No star visible around the above location using 50-mm f/2.8 lens + Canon Digital Camera EOS 40D under limit mag.= 11s by T. Kojima, Japan. Also T. Noguchi says nothing star.

2011 09 10.489

No star visible within 5' at the reported location using 0.16-m f/6.3 reflector + unfiltered CCD (SBIG ST-9XEi) under limit mag.= 16.5 by K. Yoshimoto, Japan.

2011 09 09.424

The observation epoch of Sakaniwa's detection is corrected as above. Precise astrometry using Sakaniwa's detection images by S. Nakano (Hyogo, Japan) gives R. A. = 20h 49m 06s.36, Decl. = +37d 16' 26".1 (J2000.0), with uncertainty of ± 4". No obvious quiescent counterpart is shown by the VizieR service.

2011 09 30.8161

Nothing is visible in a 18' x 12' FOV centered at RA 20h 49m 06s, DEC +37° 16' 26" to a limiting mag. 19. Images taken in good seeing with a 0.38-m f/6.8 reflector + CCD (unfiltered) by Luca Buzzi from Schiaparelli Observatory, Varese.
