F. Ciabattari, E. Mazzoni and M. Rossi report the discovery of an apparent supernova (unfiltered magnitude = 16.3) on images (limiting magnitude 19.5) obtained on August 11.98 and August 13.82 with a 0.5m Newtonian telescope + CCD FLI Proline 4710 camera at Borgo a Mozzano - Italy, in the course of the Italian Supernovae Search Project. The new object is located at A.R. = 20h58m03s.73, Decl. = +11°03'10".8 (equinox 2000.0, astrometry with respect to UCAC-2 stars) which is 2 arcsec West and 3 arcsec South of the centre of Galaxy PGC 65806.
