Stu Parker at Parkdale Observatory confirms PSN J22152851+1534041.Using the iTelescope.Net T7 CDK 432mm'and SBIG STL-11000 3 CCD Camera.End position 22:15:28.46 +15:34:03.8 at around mag 16.4

2013 09 12.803

This transient was observed on 2013 09 12.803 by Gianluca Masi, Francesca Nocentini and Patrick Schmeer, remotely using the 17" robotic unit part of the Virtual Telescope Project facility in Ceccano, Italy. Unfiltered images show a source at mag. 17.0 (R mags for the reference stars from UCAC-4). We also performed astrometry, getting the following end figures: 28.47 03.3" (J2000.0, mean residuals of 0.15" on both axes).

2013 09 13.90

Spectroscopy taken by the Padova-Asiago SN group shows that this is a Type Ia Supernova about four days past maximum light

2013 09 10.232

This possible supernova in PGC 68419 was detected with 4 x 15 min images using a luminance filter Photometry: Mag 16.77 +/- 0.11 L (V for ref) Astrometry: RA 22 15 28.46 Dec +15 34 02.9 These data were collected remotely by Joseph Brimacombe, Cairns, Australia.
