Discovered by Fabio Martinelli, Riccrdo Mancini and Fabio Briganti at Montecatini Valdicecina Observatory (Italy) in the cours of the Italian Supernovae Search Project.




2011 10 14.0299

As a partial correction of the notice of discovery of the PSN J23060280+3406367, the correct offset is 22W and 8N, while the date of discovery is 2011 10 14.0299. 2011 10 14.9319 is the date of confirmation.

Confirmed new object not on POSSII at position 23 06 02.83 +34 06 36.0, mag 16.9 (UCAC-3). Unfiltered ST9XE + C11. Nick James. MPC 970.




2011 10 15.9197

This object was observed by Federica Luppi, Luca Ghirotto and Mirko Maffiolini with a 0.36-m f/7.9 reflector + CCD from Schiaparelli Observatory, Varese, Italy. In a stack of images totalling 20 minutes of exposure time with Bessell R filter, the object has position end figures 02s.81, 36".0 and magnitude 17.5 (CMC-14 catalogue).
