SUPERNOVAE
Dr. M. Schmidt, California Institute of Technology, telegraphs
that C. Kowal has discovered at Palomar a supernova of magnitude 15
in an anonymous galaxy at R. A. = 10h50m.4, Decl. = +14o21' (equinox 1950.0).
The supernova is 1" east and 7" north of the nucleus.
Dr. J. L. Sersic, Cordoba Observatory, cables an observation
by H. A. Dottori of the supernova found by Grizunova in IC 3476 (cf.
IAUC 2214). The photographic magnitude is 11.0, and the supernova
Is located 19" west and 28" south of the galaxy's nucleus.
