T. Seki (Kochi Observatory, Geisei Station). From Orient. Astron.
Assoc. Comet Bull. No. 101. 40-cm reflector.
K. Hestir (Joint Observatory for Cometary Research). 37-cm f/2
Schmidt camera. Measurer: E. F. Tedesco.
L. Kohoutek (Hamburg Observatory, Bergedorf). Comet diffuse with
condensation. Measurer: M. Dieckvoss (also on IAUC 2755).
The following improved orbital elements, by B. G. Marsden, are
from 11 observations Feb. 9 to Mar. 17. They indicate that the
comet passed only 0.15 AU from Jupiter in July 1972 and that before
then q = 2.4 AU, P = 8.2 years.
