V1500 CYGNI (NOVA CYGNI 1975)
     According to Astron. Tsirk. No. 889, a prediscovery observation
by O. Suyarkova (Dushanbe) put the nova at photographic
magnitude 13.5 on Aug. 28.732 UT.

     P. A. Whitelock and P. R. Jorden, Imperial College, London;
and C. Sanchez Magro, University of La Laguna, report the following
infrared magnitudes (accuracy ~ 0.1), measured usinq the 152-cm
Tenerife flux collector: Aug. 30.1 UT, H = 1.05, K = 1.05, L = 1.0;
31.0, 0.45, 0.3, 0.15; Sept. 4.2, 2.5, 2.2, 1.2.

     Further selected recent visual magnitude estimates: Oct. 18.85
