AC 211
     S. A. Ilovaisky and C. Chevalier, Observatoire de Haute
Provence, communicate: "U-band ultraviolet CCD imaging of the M15
core was obtained at the Cassegrain focus of the 3.6-m Canada-
France-Hawaii reflector at Mauna Kea on Sept. 8 and 9 under excellent
seeing conditions (0"8 FWHM) for 1.5 and 3 hr, respectively.
On both nights, AC 211 exhibited large (1.0-magnitude) brightness
changes, confirming the variability reported on IAUC 4101."

     P. A. Charles, Oxford University; M. Auriere, European Southern
Observatory; S. A. Ilovaisky, Observatoire de Haute Provence;
and L. Koch-Miramond, Centre d'Etudes Nucleaires de Saclay, report:
"Detailed re-analysis of spectroscopic observations obtained at La
Palma (IAUC 4118), together with direct CCD imaging obtained at Pic
du Midi (IAUC 4101) and Canada-France-Hawaii Observatories, of the
M15 globular-cluster core shows that the He II 468.6-nm and H-alpha
emission lines probably come from AC 211, which is then the obvious
optical candidate for the M15 x-ray source. Observers are urged to
monitor this object."

NOVA SAGITTARII 1983
     W. Liller, Instituto Isaac Newton, writes that this object
(cf. IAUC 4119) appears clearly on his Problicom Kodak-2415 films
taken in 1983, and he provides the following magnitudes (which
should be close to visual and +/- 0.2, except +/- 0.4 for magnitudes
> 11.0): Mar. 16.361 UT, 10.6; 25.238, 10.8; Apr. 6.232, 10.9 (
yellow filter); 13.244, 10.9; 13.271, 11.0; 18.185, 11.2; 20.153,
11.5; 22.154, 10.9.

PERIODIC COMET GICLAS (1985g)
Total visual magnitude estimates: Oct. 19.39 UT, 13.4 (C. S.
Morris, near Mt. Wilson, CA, 0.26-m refl.); Dec. 4.81, 14.0 (J.-C.
Merlin, Le Creusot, France, 0.40-m reflector).

CORRIGENDA
On IAUC 4138, Periodic Comet Halley (1982i), line -7, for
[O I] [630.0 nm) read [O I] (630.0 nm).
On IAUC 4141, Supernova 1985R in IC 1809, lines 5-6, for
preceeding read preceding.
