NOVA ANDROMEDAE 1986
G. M. Hurst, Basingstoke, England, writes that a photograph
taken 1986 Dec. 6.90 UT by N. James, Chelmsford, shows the nova at
mpv = 6.3, apparently within a day of maximum brightness.
Further visual magnitude estimates: Jan. 28.80 UT, 11.2 (S.
Korth, Monheim, W. Germany); Feb. 1.74, 11.1 (Korth); 26.7, 11.6
(A. Mizser, Budapest, Hungary); Mar. 4.7, 13.0 (Mizser).
