ASM 2000+25
     R. M. Hjellming, National Radio Astronomy Observatory; T. A.
Calovini, NRAO and New Mexico Tech; and F. A. Cordova, Los Alamos
National Laboratory, report: "We have detected a radio counterpart to
the soft x-ray nova (IAUC 4587) discovered by the Ginga Team. The VLA
was used to search for the type of radio counterpart previously found
to be associated with the x-ray novae A0620-00 = V616 Mon and Cen X-4
= V822 Cen. Radio images at 1.49 GHz, made from data taken on May 3
and 26, show that a radio source with a strength of 4.4 +/- 0.5 mJy
appeared in the May 26 image where there was none in the May 3 image
(with an upper limit of 0.5 mJy). The position of this radio source
is R.A. = 20h00m42s.8 +/- 0s.3, Decl. = +25D05'40" +/- 5" (equinox
1950.0). Within the joint uncertainties this position is coincident
with the x-ray position reported by Makino et al. (IAUC 4588) and the
position of the optical candidate B of Okamura and Noguchi (IAUC 4589)."
