COMET SHOEMAKER-HOLT (1989j)
     Carolyn S. Shoemaker, Eugene M. Shoemaker, and Henry E. Holt
report their discovery of another comet, as indicated below:

   Schmidt telescope films.  Comet diffuse with strong central
   condensation; 2' fan tail to the southwest.
A. Hale (Las Cruces, NM).  Visual observation, 0.41-m reflector.


U GEMINORUM
     This object is again in outburst, as indicated by the following
visual magnitude estimates (cf. IAUC 4696):  1988 Dec. 26.89 UT, [13.3
(P. Schmeer, Bischmisheim, West Germany); 1989 Mar. 6.89, 13.8 (Schmeer);
7.97, 12.9 (J. D. Shanklin, Cambridge, England); 8.10, 12.4 (P. Sventek,
Houston, TX); 9.05, 9.6 (Schmeer); 9.06, 9.2 (Sventek); 9.80, 9.7 (Schmeer).


SUPERNOVA 1989B IN NGC 3627
     R. Stapleton, St. Andrews University Observatory, forwards the
following densitometer magnitude estimates from IIa-O plates
(obtained with the 0.9-m Cassegrain-Schmidt telescope) by A. Packer:
Feb. 25.9 UT, 13.2 +/- 0.2; Mar. 4.9, 13.6 +/- 0.1.
