SUPERNOVA 1990Z IN UGC 12133
     J. Mueller reports her discovery of a supernova in UGC 12133
(R.A. = 22h37m.0, Decl. = +8 22', equinox 1950.0), located 25".5
west and 30".2 south of the galaxy's center. The estimated magnitude
of the supernova is 19 on a red plate taken Aug. 21 UT with
the 1.2-m Oschin Schmidt Telescope in the course of the second
Palomar Sky Survey. A spectrum (range 380-550, 540-780 nm)
obtained by A. Picard, J. Mould, and E. Held with the 5-m Hale
Telescope (+ double spectrograph) shows the presence of broad H-
alpha (FWHM 1000 km/s), indicating that the object is a type-II
supernova, with the magnitude estimated as 20.

SUPERNOVA 1990X IN UGC 12565
     Mueller also communicates that a spectrum obtained on Aug.
29 UT by Picard, Mould, and Held with the 5-m telescope shows
that SN 1990X (cf. IAUC 5076) is a type-II supernova with a
P-Cyg H-alpha profile having width about 12 000 km/s.

V348 SAGITTARII
     This unusual R CrB-type variable is again fading, as indicated
by the following visual magnitude estimates (cf. IAUC 4821):
Apr. 29.09, 11.8 (M. Verdenet, Bourbon-Lancy, France); July 6.17,
12.0 (J. E. Bortle, Stormville, NY); Aug. 16.86, 11.8 (Verdenet);
17.86, 12.2 (Verdenet); 18.8, 12.8 (T. Cooper, Benoni, R.S.A.);
18.85, 12.6 (Verdenet); 19.7, 12.8 (D. Overbeek, Edenvale, R.S.A.);
19.87, 13.0 (Verdenet); 20.86, 14.2 (Verdenet); 23.46, 14.6 (R.
Royer, Wrightwood, CA).

COMET TSUCHIYA-KIUCHI (1990i)
     Total visual magnitude estimates (cf. IAUC 5058) by A. Hale,
Las Cruces, NM, 0.41-m reflector:  Aug. 9.15 UT, 8.6; 19.13, 8.3.

PERIODIC COMET HONDA-MRKOS-PAJDUSAKOVA (1990f)
     Total visual magnitude estimates (cf. IAUC 5076): Aug. 19.50
UT, 8.2 (C. S. Morris, Pine Mountain Club, CA, 20x80 binoculars);
24.47, 8.6 (Hale); 30.48, 7.8 (Hale, 10x50 binoculars).
