XTE J0111.2-7317
     D. Chakrabarty, Massachusetts Institute of Technology; T.
Takeshima, Goddard Space Flight Center, NASA, and Universities
Space Research Association; M. Ozaki and B. Paul, Institute of
Space and Astronautical Science; and J. Yokogawa, Kyoto University,
report: "An observation of the 31-s transient x-ray pulsar XTE
J0111.2-7317 with the ASCA satellite on Nov. 18.8-19.6 UT yielded
the following improved position for the x-ray source: R.A. =
1h11m14s.5, Decl. = -73o16'50" (equinox J2000.0), with an error
radius of 30" (90-percent confidence). The x-ray flux in the band
0.7-10 keV was 3.6 x 10E-10 erg cmE-2 sE-1, corresponding to a
luminosity of 2 x 10E38 erg/s, assuming a distance of 65 kpc.
Further observations to identify the optical counterpart are
encouraged."
